Robert Biwer, Consul General of LuxembourgLuxembourg Board of Economic Development
Mr. Robert Biwer has been the Consul General of Luxembourg in San Francisco, California, since August 2001. His jurisdiction covers half of the United States, from the Mid-West and Texas to the West Coast. He is also the Executive Director of the Luxembourg Board of Economic Development, a Government agency in charge of attracting foreign investment to Luxembourg.
Mr. Biwer was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Luxembourg Army and from 1988 to 2000 he had been serving as Aide de Camp to H.R.H. Crown Prince Henri of Luxembourg (*). In this function, Mr. Biwer accompanied the Crown Prince on numerous economic missions to the United States and many other countries all over the world.
In 1993 Mr. Biwer attended the Public Affairs Officer Course of the US Defense Information School in Indianapolis, and in 1994 he completed the International Finance Seminar of the Industrial Bank of Japan in Tokyo, Japan.
He was born in 1959 and is married with three children.
